I just saw that Roman Polanski wrote a letter to his “fans and supporters” thanking them for their support during his time in jail. What kind of people actually support someone who was convicted of plying an underage girl with alcohol and drugs, then having sex with her while she was practically unconscious? They’re excuse for supporting him and wanting him exonerated is because he made some exceptional movies. Pardon me, but what the f***? Are we saying that if any other rapist, and let’s be honest, that’s what he is, were to make what’s considered to be a “great movie”, they should be let go and forgiven? It’s ridiculous. I guess Steven Spielberg gets a free pass for any crime he wants to commit thanks to “Saving Private Ryan”. I truly hope that this man goes to jail, and he should be given more time for fleeing prosecution.
